Isabel Marques de Sá

Isabel Marques de Sa has over 30 years of experience developing projects for companies, governments and multilateral institutions in the natural resources and infrastructure sectors. She joined the IFC in 1995 and since then she has worked extensively in structuring PPP projects in infrastructure in Latin America, Africa and MENA.

Mme Ms. Marques de Sa experience includes infrastructure in general with special focus on airports, power sector, water, Special economic Zones. In the airport sector, Mme Marques de Sa was part of the Queen Alia Airport structuring team and later lead the IFC team in the privatisation of the Galeão (Rio de Janeiro) and Cofins ( Belo Horizonte) airports in Brazil and was Senior Team Leader in the Concession of the Jeddah Airport and Taif Airport in Saudi Arabia

Prior to joining IFC, Ms. Marques de Sa worked for Paribas Bank in Paris, where she participated in several mergers and acquisitions, privatization and project finance projects in Europe and emerging markets in mining, metals and steel sectors.

Mme Marques de Sa holds a PhD in Industrial Economics from the Paris School of Mines (1991), Paris, a diploma in Economics from Oporto University, Portugal (1976)
