Ivica is a passionate aviation professional with over 15 years of combined technical, operational and training experience in the aviation industry. He frequently speaks at conferences and events all over the world on topics related to learning and development giving an aviation perspective: from strategy to action, training effectiveness, how to build a talent pool, high performing organizations and other related themes of interest to aviation sector.
His experience is coming from a rich and diverse career that spans across different sectors, airline, travel agencies, international organization, to name a few. He has been with IATA Training in Montreal, Canada since 2010. In his capacity as Head, Global Partnerships and Innovation, he is responsible for strengthening the IATA training partners’ network, development of training standards and competency framework for aviation professionals and endorsement of IATA training portfolio. He has a track record of shaping the future learning approaches and defining learning paths for numerous aviation stakeholders. His work has been endorsed by various Airlines, Airports and Civil Aviation Authorities which he supported on their learning and development journey.
He is passionate about improving human performance, creating great experience for learners and his objective is to excel in everything he does. He is author and co-author of several articles and reports (“IATA Aviation Human Resources Report, 2018”). He also boasts exceptional academic qualifications, including a forthcoming Doctoral degree in Air Transport Management and an Executive MBA in International Business.
