VALNOR is promoting and supporting sustainable events to encourage proper environmental habits in the community.
The Portugal Air Summit, held from October 10 to 12, will receive EcoEvento status from VALNOR, meeting all waste management criteria. VALNOR will provide containers for waste separation, while the Municipality of Ponte de Sor will ensure collection, and VALNOR will handle recycling. The event promotes the use of recyclable cups and encourages waste separation by exhibitors and food vendors, with monitoring teams to ensure compliance.
What is an EcoEvent
An EcoEvent is an initiative certified by Valnor, which takes place in a pre-defined space, which has a limited duration and which is an example of the adoption of appropriate environmental measures that promote the concepts of sustainability. EcoEvents are supported with an appropriate selective collection service adapted to their size and economic benefits associated with the quantity of packaging correctly separated and adds environmental awareness initiatives.
PORTUGAL AIR SUMMIT
The Portugal Air Summit is organized taking into account recycling and environmental awareness goals, using recyclable cups and promoting waste separation.
EcoCopos – we appeal to everyone to reuse the cups that are on sale for this purpose.
And because the Portugal Air Summit event is an EcoEvent, in the space where it will take place, containers will be available for exhibitors and those responsible for bars/ taverns and restaurants.
It is essential that everyone practices the rules for separating waste, separating it and placing it in the respective containers. We want our event to truly be an Eco-event in all aspects and, therefore, we will have teams to check whether the rules are being followed. We inform you now that the Organization will take this issue into account for future participation.

During these days, some environmental awareness initiatives will take place, in a partnership between the Organization, the Municipality and Valnor.
